On Friday the 17th of June the second SYMPHONY PhD day took place, organized by the PhD committee (Alexander, Jessica and Ryanne). This time all PhDs gathered in Amsterdam and just like last year the weather was beautiful again. The afternoon started with a relaxed lunch in the park located next to the Amstel. After lunch it was time to get a bit more active. We split up into different teams and each team competed against each other in the first SYMPHONY Kubbs tournament.

After the winners were announced, it was time to pack our things and continue to the next location: the Amstel harbor to get on the boat. During the boat trip to Ouderkerk aan de Amstel there was plenty of time to catch up with colleagues and enjoy the sun (with plenty of sunscreen, of course). For those who were daring enough there was even time to go for a swim. Finally, the day couldn’t end without more food. Thus, we enjoyed the last bit of sunshine with pizza and drinks by the water.
