On the 8th of June, thanks to the PhD committee (Minka, Tine and Bas) who organized a fun-get to know each other better-meeting in Leiden, the SYMPHONY PhD students were finally able to meet face to face after months of separation caused due to the COVID pandemic. They indulged themselves under the beautiful weather and blazing sun, which finally found the Netherlands finally after a long seemingly endless cold season of this year.
After a whole afternoon of intense sports activities, including weird football games and shooting each other with arrows (see pictures), the loneliness and isolation due to the knockdown was driven away. After these intense sports, we all sat together and chatted over drinks… Something that we have all missed intensely! Collaboration SYMPHONY style!
